How to Entertain Young Ones: A Children's Story Hour

Great for families! Elisa Kleven will read the story of “Hiro’s Hats”, engage everyone in a drawing lesson and do a craft project showing children how to use simple materials to make a snow monkey. The story is for children ages 3-8, but any age will enjoy the presentation as Elisa shares a wonderful artist perspective.

Elisa will be visiting Kepler’s, the beloved SF peninsula book store founded in 1955, to introduce readers to Hiro’s Hats. Plan a special treat of an early evening outing to listen to Elisa read her newest story about a young snow monkey named Hiro, share her creative process, and engage the children in a storytelling and drawing session.

Inspired by Elisa Kleven’s most recent picture book, Hiro’s Hat, join the author/illustrator in a drop-in workshop exploring texture and collage. Using a variety of paper materials, drawing tools, and found objects, create your own artwork inspired by the snow monkeys within the book.
